Hi,
Thanks for checking out my work, it's greatly appreciated! Here's a small introduction and some insights into why I do what I do.
My name is Jorick Krooshof and I've been drawing pretty much my whole life, but about 15 years ago I started to take it more seriously. Bred from skateboarding and punk-rock I
started to work on my own style of drawing, heavily inspired by old school skateboard graphics.
Seeing all these pieces of art in the skateshops and on the merch tables, I started to wonder how it was made. This made me discover screenprinting. And after a lot of trial and error, mistakes,
fuck-ups and some more mistakes I found out how everything worked and what worked for me and my D.I.Y. setup, since I was doing everything from home.
For the past years I've had the pleasure to be part of the whole creative process of a lot of very cool projects. From my first sketch on paper, 'till the moment the squeegee pressed the ink through the screen. Next to that, I've been lucky enough to have a lot of very creative people around me who involved me in their projects. I'm very grateful to have been part of these projects and I hope there's a lot more to come.
Since my head sometimes overflows with strange ideas and/or monsters I started a small passion project. What started out as a small skateboarding brand, I'm now trying to focus on creating a culture, rather then focussing on one sub-culture. Handprinted clothing and gadgets and maybe something special every now and then. I just want to make what I want to make, just to see if I can.
Still raw, still underground, still all for fun and as always; bred from skateboarding and punk-rock. Check it out in the CVLT. SHOP!
Thank you,
Jorick | Serpent
